Too much lift for LS6 springs. Good idea to run a Comp 918 for that cam.

Very close to coil bind there, I also would look aftermarket ( 02+ Z06 cam lift is 0.550" on yellow springs ).

some ls6 springs were supposed to hold .570 i think? But .583 would need 918's for sure

There are a few people running close to .600 lift on Z06 springs in the LS2 GTO world. I will be running above .580 lift on mine and don't plan to have issues.

Thats all well and good. But I would be concerned about float. Id want a better spring running a cam with that much lift.

You can run stock springs and it will run but it WILL float! The LS6 springs arent gonna cut it.

Ended up with comp. cams 54-450-11 specs as follows
54-450-11 ''XFI'' 260 Hydraulic Roller Cams
GM C/K Trucks 99-06 4.8/5.3L
Lift: .513''/.520''
Duration @ .050'':206°/212°
RPM Range: 800-5800
Lobe Separation: 115°
with 1.8 cranes lift at valve is .564/.572 runs stromg as hell, no float, no bind,p/v clearance greater than 3/16". all is well in strokerland.
