5th wheel on a 6.0 2500 p/u???
Hey guys, Im thinking of buying a 2000 Silverado 2500 with a 6.0. Is this truck capable of pulling a two car trailer on a 5th wheel? I know its pushing it, but has anyone done it? Any modifications I could do to make it any easier on the truck? TIA

That truck should be fine. I am sure many will say no way but I'd tow with it like that. It won't be the fastest thing on the market but it will be good. Only thing I might change is Cold air intake, headers and exhaust. I drive a 91 Chevy K2500 with a 350 and have towed a 25ft dove gooseneck with a Bobcat and buckets without a problem, it wasn't fast, it wasn't the best rig on the road but it got the job done and that's all that matters. Good luck.

Amen on that one, my dad had a 1-ton 1998 CCSB with a 350 and a 4L80E. Once there was a 3/4 ton load of pea gravel in it, and we towed a car too, not the fastest, but it worked!
