Hate to say it but sell it and buy a DMax, hell even a used one and you'll get better mileage.
Mine will get 21mpg on the hwy and average of 17mpg. It's basically bone stock (3.73's and 245's) except for about a 100HP tune.
Actually those larger tires are probably hurting you more than you think. With my old 99' I went from 265's to 285's and lost a solid 2mpg.
There are other Diesel guys who have the exact same setup as me but running larger tires and they get about 2-3mpg less than I do.

My 02 6.0 2500HD has a K&N intake system, Granatelli MAF sensor, ? TB, shortie headers, stock cats 
, true duals Magnaflow mufflers dumpped, Hypertech PP (pos) and I'm doing 24-27 MPG. It has Nitto Terra Grabblers and 20x10 USA Forge Wheels. It does the same as my 2000 Z-28 except, the car does a modest 440hp at the fly.

thanks for the info yall, i appreciate it.
i'll find out what it gets MPG-wise long distance towing next week when we go to Memphis. 700 miles each way is a long way to go for a race that doesn't pay anything, but the other perks are worth it!
i think i'll get it tuned and maybe do the exhaust later.
the more i've driven it and done some basic tune up work...now it's gettin about 15 mpg on the highway unloaded. i can live w/ that. CHIP
