that's pretty cool, that's a great deal for the miles, where did you get it?

bolting it up?- not a freaking one, but you will need a custom tune. You can either get a live tune around you, or get a mail oder tune from one of the sponsors, or pm "wheatley" Either way, one of those guys can help you.
Wiring harness - it's the same one, you will not have any problems. Be sure you plug everything back up. EVERYTHING goes back the way that it was.

No,- This is where the custom tune comes in. It gets programed for your engine and transmission.
Yes if you want an extra computer (PCM), but there's no need for it.

It doesn't matter, it's still a 6.0 and its an `06. There are no issues with putting it in. Search my name, I did the same swap, I asked a TON of questions, and took all kinds of pictures.

bolting up? yes no problems at all, it'll be as if it was supposed to have been there in the first place. I will suggest a hotter cam. The stock one will work, but believe me, your going to want to go bigger. I did a mild cam, and I wish that I would have gone bigger.
Transmission work better? a shift kit will make a world of a difference. Do a search for "Transgo HD2" It's a true reprogrammer for your trans, and it helps with the life of it.

Summary - all that you're changing is the block and heads, nothing else, everything else is reused again.

GVWR= gross vehicle weight rating as in thats how much the vehicle weighs loaded to full capacity.

Like our trucks GVWR is 7000(for instance my truck weighs 5200 unloaded just for figuring purposes) so it can carry 1800#s in addition to the vehicles weight.

yes in stock form the lq4 what you have has lower hp than the lq9
My understanding was that the Lq4 was an iron block and the lq9 aluminum.

99's and some 2000 had iron heads

Iron heads have the longer crank, and that's bad unless your going to run an 80e trans

There's lots of pics about this floating around, use the search at the top.

again, all you're swapping over is the heads and the block, nothing else.

Get rid of the hypertech, it's crap, and it's useless, ebay it for 10-150, and never pick it up again

1. get a stock 6.0 tune

2. get an engine hoist

and read up some more https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...earchid=546881
