Default 6.0

What years 6.0 can I use in my 04 silverado. I know I can use the 01 to 07 classic. I bought a 08 out of a 2500 HD and need to know if it will work. If not I will sell it and get another that will. :nunchuk1:

Yes you can use that motor in truck, but you have to get the 24x to 58x conversion box, or cut off the 58x reluctor wheel, and have a 24x wheel welded on. This is the crank trigger reluctor wheel.

I say sell it and get an 01-07. I've heard those conversion boxes have some issues.

I will give it some more thought but it would probably be less hassel to get one that will just bolt in. I was not real sure which ones were 24 and which were 58

I am thinking the same thing. Pulled the 4.8 out last winter and put in the 5.3 witch is nice. But now I am hungry for more. Pulling is OK but would be nice for a little more power. When I did the switch I put the 4L80e in and a Maggie. Would the 6.0 be much more or would a cam be the better way to go. Not trying to hijack here.
