Default 6.0 block question

Except for internals is a 99 6.0 the same as 00-05?

to my knowledge they are identical and use this part# 12551364 and also have 6.0L engraved on them. the 99-00 are the long crank iron headed versions...so 01-05 would be ideal for someone looking to keep it somewhat stock. i guess for your build youll only be needing the bare block so it will work. why not try to find an LS2 mark? 65 lbs up front makes a diffrence. whats this going in, the c10?

Longer as in longer stroke right? or actually longer?

actually longer in order to directly fit a 4l80..01+ use removable spacers to fit the 4l80. hence why u cnat swap the 99-00 short blocks directly into the cars or trucks...

So I could just bolt up my flex plate with no spacer and go?

with the conversion stuff im not really sure...i do know the 99-00 heads are not he HIGH flow 317's that everyone is after. so bolting up a 99-00 longblock wouldnt be the best idea but if you were building it i guess it oculd work cuz those long blocks go DIRT cheap you cant give em away lol. do a search, im 99.9% positive it would just bolt up.
