Default 6.0 Build-Need a question answered please.

Hello to all. I have been searching and reading for a little bit to try and figure some things out. I know there is a difference between the lq4 and the lq9. I also understand that the lq4 had a different crank in early 2000 therefore not allowing a T56 to bolt up.

SO HERE IS MY QUESTION- I have a chance to get an early style lq4 and I was wondering if I was to change the crank (forged bottom end setup) WOULD I be able to mate a t56 to this block/crank setup. I am just making sure that since the early 2000ish cranks WERE different, the block would still work if I was to build the bottom end like I was building for an older LQ4. Thank you guys/gals.

Clark

ok. But if I was to swap the crank for a forged bottom end from a new series which would allow a t56, would that work?

yes it would. There's no need for a stock stroke, forged crank. There are guys on here that are making 500-600 on the stock crank.

Now if you're wanting a stroker crank then do that.

If you're looking for some comparisons, there plenty of guys that are running stroked 6.0 (408s) with a t56 behind them on LS1tech
