Oh yeah! Everything is here. Time to start checking bearing clearances, and then assembling.

You can see the new rod on the right. It was cylinder #8.

Make sure you check your cylinder from the bottom with the cylinder head tq'd down, it will deform the cylinder slightly. Hopefully they honed the block with tq plates. It better be in and running by the end of the weekend

Are those LQ4 pistons? Any reason you did not get flat tops?

Sorry, but it won't be done this weekend. I don't even have pushrods yet. I have no idea what I'll need yet.

The crank and cam are both in. The clearance on the mains measured .0015"-.00175". I don't believe any of them were .002". So the mains are nicely in the center of factory tolerances, right where they should be since the block and crank are original.

Man do I hate this torque angle guage. I find using a torque wrench much easier to use. I'm glad for that reason alone that I've got ARP rod bolts. That'll make checking the clearances and final assembly much easier and quicker tomorrow.

I need a puller for the original timing gear on the crank, so that's where I stopped for the evening.

Here's the book I'm following for assembly.

I have a question about the cam bearings. Do any of them have holes that are supposed to line up with oil holes in the block besides the front one?

About the rod bolts. We checked the new rod before removing the factory bolts. We then torqued down the ARP bolts and checked again. Nothing changed.
