I'm selling some of the stuff I don't need after this build. I've put an add in the classifieds. Trailblazer TC, 4.00 tapered riing compressor, adjustable PR measuring tool, 11mm head bolt thread cleaner. I'll be selling the Comp Cams 212/218 cam out of the 5.3 as soon as I get it pulled.

Here's the intake reducer. Works much better than black duct tape

Now, one last modification is needed. The stud on the throttle for the cruise control cable is larger than OEM. Should I just grind the OD of the stub?

Grind carefully My friend. Bit by bit. If the shaft diameter is the same but jsut the nub is to big then you'll be golden

Anybody that knows anything about cams may laugh at this.Especially if the lifters are not matched with the cam lobes, Ken

I think you're stuck in the SBC world of flat tappets. It's done all the time with LS engines, since they're roller cams.

Default Used cams

Brad, yes I am a dinosaur.I was brought up with mid 70's Chevy, I installed a 400 small block into a 67 El Camino, had the dished pistons removed and installed speed pro flat tops.I installed a big block oil pump, along wit an eledbrock cam and intake, topped off with a 650 spread bore. 1.58 headers. I am an old school but I did not mean to rain on your charcoal.Ken

It's all good. This is my first time this deep in a LS engine. I'm 42 years old myself. They're different for sure, superior to the old SBC in so many ways.

I'm about ready to take you up on this offer My v2 should be here any day now. I'm excited to start getting this tune sorted out.

Where can I go to find out how to get started, ie getting connected, pulling the bin from my PCM, editing the tables, etc.
