That TR224 seems to have been a solid performer in 6.0's. Since you're looking more track than street, maybe step it up to a 228 cam or so.

Many folks have been solidly in the 12's (if not high 11's?? Check the timeslip database if you're curious...) with the TR224 cam and supporting mods.

I would go with their 233/239 cam, Torquer V.2, or if you have the *****, MS3.

If you want to go big on the cam I'd definitely get some headwork done too. As mentioned, the TR224 has been proven in the 6.0's, but I think that you can go with more lift than that with some worked heads (I have some WCCH StageII 317's waiting patiently to be installed on my LQ9 short block). Maybe a TSP228R, a 34-3600 Circle-D 258mm billet multi-disc, and some 4.30 gears

ok, so i wanna build a 6.0 also. Would a 224-228 be a good cam to run on the street and track? i also plan on getting some head work done on the 317 heads i believe they are. Also running the fast lsxrt intake to help it out some on top end

Yea, the MS3 is kind of pushing the limits, but would make great power with the right supporting mods. To fully take advantage of the powerband you would have to run a huge stall, deep gears, ARP rod bolts, etc... Then down the line, add heads and intake for even larger gains.

With worked heads and a Fast intake, I suggest you get a custom spec'd cam to work with the parts you have.
