Ive got a standard cab short bed two wheel drive. Ive only checked highway mileage. with the 5.3 3.42 and stockish wheels just under 22mpg. 6.0 lq9 with a tune, 4.11 gears and 20" wheels, I got 20.8 at 70mph 2150 rpm. figured by hand.

I have a 4L60 with 3.73's and 275/60/20 in the summer and 285/70/17 in the winter.
70mph give me about 1900RPM.
The cam is a very mild 208/212 w/ .554/.558 lift
258HP with the 5.3L(stock except CAI) and 329HP with the 6.0L(current setup)
I have 4.10's & 4.56's at the shop. Not sure if I should run them or not.

I gotta stop seein this, a 6L wasn't in my plans. I don't think.
I guess I won't totally discount it as a thirsty pig. Your 6L HWY is not off much from my 5.3/ 3.42 on 16"s.

I drive mine pretty easy. I used the cruise control at 70mph, pretty flat , no hills. In town doesnt seem any different than the 5.3. I think its the weight of the truck, the tune and driving habits that affect it. Everyone thinks 6.0L eat gas but theyre in heavy trucks. My extended cab 4x4 with 4.8L only got 18 highway. Im getting ready to install a radix112, long tube headers and a 212 218 cam. I still think ill get close to 20. The 6.0 swap was easy to do, best bang for the buck.

my 2wd SS gets 15.5 before the centerline and shorter tire. i know its better but my mph is off now so i dont know. plus since taken the cats off and the cai i know it needs a tune bad. i drive mostly 55mph roads with mixed traffic, leaving haalf thorttle sometimes. and the long boring ride home at midnight i get on it at least once
