Default 6.0 guys how much are you overbored?

I am having to rebuild the motor in my Camaro and it is a 402 stroker motor. I have an iron block, how much could I bore the block safely? Thanks

I am getting alot of guessing and thinking but no definate answers. I know people are making big cube motors. Are they using the LS2 and sleeving it or just running more stroke?

i know on the trucks most everybody is using a 6.0L truck iron block and boring it .030" over for a 370 with stock stroke or a 408 with 4" stroke. a 402 would be stock bore with 4" stroke.

if you are just wanting to rebuild it, go .030" over. if you are looking for the max bore you can get, get the block tested to see how far you can go and then go from there.

highly doubt it, dont know how much of an over bore that would be but ive NEVER heard of more than a .120" over bore without overheating problems unless resleeved.

With a 4 inch stroke it would be a .060 over bore. That would yeild a 416
