There's some grounds on top back of the motor, drivers side battery, make sure that those are all connected.
Does the voltage drop when you turn the key to start?

Low engine oil light is probably due to the fact that the plug on the oil pan isnt plugged in. Check that but that wouldnt cause it not to start.
Start by checking ignition fuses as far as the truck not starting is concerned

that's the weird thing though... the plug on the pan is plugged in! i did unscrew the piece that the plug on the pan goes into... do yo think i didn't tighten it down good enough?
Now if your water temp plug is out, it kills a running engine instantly. That's the one on the side of the block, driver's side.
