Default 6.0 swap?

found 2004 6.0 forsale do you guys think it would make a huge differance from what i have right now.if so how much thanks.

2000 Lm7 = 285hp
2004 Lq4 = 325hp
2004 Lq9 = 345hp

right now Lm7 with everything in my sig. Im not sure if it is a lq9 how do i tell.

it dose not come with the wiring harness will my stock harness work

It will just be a long block swap so you will reuse accesories and intake. The LQ9 block will be aluminum, the LQ4 block is iron.

Actually, they're both iron. And yes, it is a direct swap.

The reason I didn't comment on your bolt-ons is because they will all be used with the new motor, so any gains (CAI, TC, etc.) will be swapped over as well to the new setup.

LQ9 is an Iron block
The 6.0 and proper tune with a cam specific for your needs will create a ton more torque than you have now,thats what you need in a fullsize heavy truck.Might saw off 1-1 1/2 off your quarter mile

If its cheap enough it wont matter,but a LQ9 is worth more,look into the sparkplug hole and if it has flat top pistons its a LQ9,LQ4 will have dished.

i have not seen the motor its in texas and im in michigan
