yeah i have the motor chained up to the hoist i think its putting to much bind on it

you can let the engine hang.. its not goin anywhere.. the last 18 tranmission removals i did,, it just sits there.
try letting the engine down,,, IF you have the engine bolted down on the mounts.
also triple check for a hidden bolt. it happens to the best of us.
Let us know how it goes.

Make sure you got the very top bolt. It wasn't on the old 4L60Es. What I did was support the oil pan and support the transmission pan with jacks so there is no vertical force on the pins. Then I pryed in the starter housing and was able to put the tip of a flat head screwdriver in near the pin. Then I pryed a little bit in the drain hole at the bottom middle of the bellhousing and got a screwdriver shoved in the other side near that pin. Then I gently tapped them with a hammer alternating until the pins came loose. Like they all said, don't go too nuts or the bellhousing could crack. Good luck, and don't break your wiper cowl like I did

yeah im going to try and drive a screw driver in there see if it will move and work it around hopfully that works

alright guys i have an update the motor is in and running that 228r cam sounds good just gotta wait for johluther to let me know he can tune it the whole swap took me about 11 hrs not bad i woulda had it done early if the tranny didnt get stuck on the old motor but other then that its sweet cant wait for it to be tuned and running good i wanna see what its got
