Default 6.0 up grade questions

I just picked up an 02 6.0 4x4 2500HD GMC Sierra extended cab. The truck has 56,000 miles and looks great. It has no flaws on the outside not even rock chips on the hood. Interior is great too. It has a suspension and boby lift. Rancho shocks. Weld Racing Wheels (Stone Crushers) I think. Not a big fan of them. BFGs all terrain. Tonnue Cover. It comes with Edelbrock shorty headers and bullet style mufflers. It has a K&N intake system. Truck is great. My wife drives it because I can't part with my 00 Z-28. I've never come across a great truck that's already upgraded. I'm lost and bored with it. Would long tubes from TexasSpeed help? Would harden push rods and LS6 springs help? Would a 02 Z06 cam wake it up? What kind of numbers do you all think I'm putting down right now as it sits? Guy at the dyno shop told me when I was getting my ride tuned they did a similar trunk with this motor and that cam and it did awesome. Like 400 rwhp or somthing like that. What do you guys think?

first off get the truck tuned if it already isn't. Nelson Performance is a favorite around here. they're a sponsor over on the right. that will certainly wake up your truck.

Are shorties ok or should I get the long tubes and an ORY pipe? It has a true dual system.

long tubes are a big increase i think shorties are like 6 rwhp. Compared to 15-25 with longtubes . And a ls6 cam is really not a really big leap for that motor and not a real torqy cam eather

honestly that truck is going to be slow unless you go to some sort of forced induction.

I highly doubt you'll even break into the 14's with full bolt ons, stall and gears.

You should look into an STS or other kind of turbo setup.

I don't want to take it the track. I just want a good street performer. I blew the doors of a honda civic the other night as I was coming from Laredo. Kid had muffler in his face the whole time, eating and inhaling that exhaust. Stupid ricer.
