if your boosting it you dont need a 6.0, just take your 5.3 to a machine shop and get forged pistons and rods, costs $2-2500.00, have it bored to a 5.7. it will be way stronger, brand new with 0 miles. and cost a little more than a 6.0 with good miles.

plus you get rings gapped for boost, better bearings, and you can do everything you need such as head gaskets and studs if you want. also you get an arp rod bolt with the rods so that is much nicer, i just spent 2000.00 on getting my 5.3 bored to a 5.7 and forged rods and crank.

I thought about buying a 6.0 putting rod bolts in it and studs put it in and pull my 5.3 and build it.

Why not buy a used 5.3 rebuild it with stronger internals and turn up boost.... That's just me.. but if you do find a 6.0 forge it and have your fun..

Not if it was taken care of, I've personally rode in a turbo GTO with a 100k junkyard LQ4 that runs 9s and does 200 mph on the road .

My lq4 van has 229k and runs like new ,

Miles ain't nothin on an LSx , plus common sense and you should have a great running engine.
