It's not that bad. A new tranny isn't the worst thing in the world. It will be hard to baby the new motor though. It will be like a new truck when you are done!

That vacuum line on the front of the manifold that you weren't sure about is the evap system purge valve.

Thanks. Please note that when you go from a '00 5.3 manifold to a '04 6.0 manifold you have to swap the evap purge vacume line form the 5.3 manifold to the 6.0 manifold.
