how much do you want for that 6.0? just so you know, i ran a 99 LS1 up to about 160,000 miles before it let go. it had atleast 75 bottles of nitrous ran through it between me and the previous owner. i also ran it to 7,000 rpm every time i drove it and to 7,500 rpm a couple times because....well i dont know why lol. do a compression check and bleed down on that 6.0. it should give you an idea of what condition the engine is in. this isnt an old vortec 350. my uncle just sold a z71 silverado with 280,000 miles on the original enigne that ran as quiet as the day he got it.

out of curiosity, what gear did you go with on 37" tires.

If you want any kind of low end grunt an engine running rectangular port heads is not a solution, especially when it's only 376 cid. Cathedrals flow more than enough and will make more power down low.

243/799's, a cam and the 87 mm late model intake will stomp that 6.2 LSX crate.

Or add a supercharger to the truck. 100000 miles is nothing but hey if you want to throw your money away go nuts.

$5k for 12ci? I mean, it's your money, but you've already been given better options in this thread... Here's another one -- buy a 427/454 LSX. Another: regear for the tires.

You don't loose low end grunt with a turbo (you gain it) unless you don't know how to size a turbo for the engine (or want all high rpm power for racing). These aren't 4 cylinder engines here...

Be better off putting a set of ported 243 heads, and nice cam in your engine, or buying a used 6.0L and stroking it. I wouldn't go with the square port head on a 2500 HD IMO. That LSX376 will be a pig in a heavy truck like that.

I was surprised they put those heads on a work truck. My LY6 came from a 4 speed truck but it had VVT...
