Default 6 liter exhaust manifolds?

Does anyone know if the 6 liter exhaust manifolds are different than the 4.8/5.3? I know the port design is different, but other than that what would be the differences?

I am running into problems fitting a manifold on my 1981 c10 5.3 swap. Starting to get rediculous. Any help is appreciated

Not different at all from what I can tell. My 6.0 came with the headers installed and they looked identical to my 5.3's and bolted right up to the stock collectors.

Physically, they are the same dimensions. The current 6.0 manifolds have a different passenger side collector than the 5.3/4.8s do. I think the 5.3s have one side with a compression fitting and one side with a groove and coper ring gasket. The current 6.0s have both sides with the grooved ring.

Have you looked at the stock Fbody or Vette manifold? They will physically bolt to the block just as the trucks do. They tuck in tighter, exit more to the front and dump out the bottom instead of backward. The GTO manifold may be another option for you.

Nope. I've just spent way too much time (and money) with this hobby. But I'm not complaining.

thaks for the help guys, i work at tennessee auto and have access to all of these type of manifolds. To beat it all the truck manifold fits the best out of all of them. Just it to tight for comfort. I am gonna try and call s & p tomorrow and see what they have for headers. I guess if I am gonna have to run exhaust I might as well put headers on it. Just another thing
