I haven't forgot to update this post-just hasn't been much action until yesterday. I went to the track Tuesday night and it ran a best of 13.64 at 101.5 (about the same as the 5.3 but a couple mph more) I had a couple codes by the time I got home so I spent Thursday fooling around with it. Turns out the salvage yard engine had some partially clogged injectors that were not giving up all the fuel the motor needed so after addressing that prob. I made some passes on the street yesterday with my Vericom windshield computer (which I had at the track Tuesday and is still highly accurate) and it showed 13.3 at 104. So it is not official yet but it looks like the 6.0 is going to run some low 13's like I had hoped. Going back this coming Tuesday to see for sure. Then it will be more boost, torque conv, and headers......

thats good to know, looks like it would be worthwhile to lower the compresion a litte if you have a blower and have a chance to lower it.

Caught me. I knew the 6.0 was 9.4:1. I slipped on that one. But, I didn't know the others were 9.45:1 or other combonations near there. I wonder what gives the 5.3 the different compression ratios? Is it different head castings? 852 vs 706 or something else.

The 6.0 went 13.33 at 101.5 last nite. On one pass it pulled 102.95 mph. The track was not the best but the weather was great! 60 ft times were 1.98 on the stock generals and 2.08-2.09 on the ET streets. I am happy for now but rest assured that on opening day at the track next season the slip will say 12.xx
