Default 8.1 bracketry

I am looking for a bunch of stuff from 8.1's. And I wanted to know if 8.1 accesory brackets cross over to other vortec's?

I need:

Fuel rails
alternator bracket
PS pump bracket
ac bracket
all the pulley's, pulley tensioners, pulley and pulley tensioner brackets

The 8.1 I bought is a 20,000 mile take out (shattered valve spring is what i'm told) Needs a ton of accesories though.
Any sources?

Who knows what brackets fit my engine. Other vortecs, 454 BBC's or only 8.1 stuff?

hey Josh,
the bracketry, waterpump, water crossover pipe, pulleys, dampener are all 8.1 specific. You can make your own stuff, the bolt pattern for the water pump is traditional big block, so a reverse OR standard rotation long water pump will bolt on. You will have to fab a water crossover on the heads and an inline thermostat housing. I am putting a whipple charged 8.1 - 4l80e into a 56 chevy. So I know the bracket things sucks, I've pretty much modified or fabbed my own stuff on the other hand all the GM stuff is readily available, but super heavy cast iron. If you've got some questions email me, I can tell you about headers, starters and misc. BS I ran into. JJ @ BTP

Luckily the only accesories with the 8.1 are ALL of the water crossovers/piping and a water pump.

I need an alternator brackets
an alterantor
A PS pump bracket
PS pump
all the belt parts.
Fuel rails and injectors

etc

Are those things 8.1 specific?

Yep, 8.1 is different from other BB. Get on ebay and you can find fuel rails and inj. They are take offs of engine that are converted to propane. The bracket for the alternator also hold the power steering pump. You might want to fab your own.

Do the 8.1 and other gm v-8s share parts?
Is there ANY sharing of parts between it and any other GM v8? Accesory/bracket etc wise
