Default which 8.1 injector do i need?

if i can get both for the same price which should i go for?

im running 102-103 duty cycle with stock 6.0 (24lb) right now. which would do the best job? 31 or 42 lb injectors? ill be adding nitrous by next summer.

also a lil explaining of why the injector would work best would help my nooby mind.

I'm sure the 31's will be fine unless your planning on adding a major power adder down the road.

I ran my last truck (LQ9, TR230/224, Patriot heads) on the 31's and duty cycle was probably in the 80's.

EDIT: Opps didn't see you were adding Nitrious. Not sure how that will factor in since I've never used it before. I'm sure others can help on that.

get the 42lb injectors. They won't "hurt" you unless you were running like 25% IDC(which you won't be).

However, if you just want the 31#'ers they'll support up to around 400 rwhp or so.

If your getting them for the same price, go with the 42's. You can aways grow into them.

they can be turned down via the PCM stew... get the bigger ones. you'll be good to go and have plenty of room to grow.

No, I run 42's in my 4.8. I know it's turboed, but under normal driving conditions it drives great! You just have to adjust the tune for them like the others have said
