Default 8.1 rad in a 1500

i have been trying to plan out some details about a 6.0 swap i want to do in my 2002 silvy rcsb Z71. Part of that swap will be a new radiator and electric fans, was thinking of using oem 2500 radiator and e-fan set up....but had a thought, the 8.1 came with a larger 2 row radiator and is only about $100 more new, im hoping for close to 700hp-800tq, and its a ecsb

so basically would it fit and work with the truck/ oem e-fan and if it would be worth it

Moved for you.

Get yourself a 34" radiator and e-fan setup. Follow this thread. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...-chevy-484892/

Post up if you have any questions about the process. The radiator is a direct bolt-in, and so are the fans. Everything else is outlined pretty well in that thread.

well after re-reading the thread and mulling over the wire diagram i have some questions lol.

#1 it says in the thread that the ac relay controles the high speed (one fan high) and the computer controls the low speed (two fans on 1/2 speed), first that means you would be moving about the same amount of air no mater if its on low or high, so do trucks from the factory only have the "2"

#2 what does the factory turn on when the ac is activated (both high, one high, or both low) and what does it turn on due to the coolant temp (im guessing that's how they would do it)

#3 wouldn't it make more sence to have the ac turn on one full speed(or both on 1/2speed and then have the computer/ temp turn on both on full or is there something im missing about how it turns on the speed

idk if i should have posted this here or on the other tread or as a new one lol
