I think it would be great. I have driven the 6.0 trucks and my 8.1 is much more fun to drive. With a marine cam and injectors, headers, and a good tune, that thing would be insane. There is no replacement for displacement. Do the same mods to both and the 8.1 will crush the 6.0

your statement is correct for no replacment for displacment, but if there isnt a market then it wont make that statement true. GM isnt going to put much money and time into a motor that is 496 CI when you have a 502CI avaible
big blocks are boat anchors. yes the torque is nice for sure and are great for towing. reaosn the 8.1 for you is alot more fun is the weight of vehicle its in. the 6.0 is a dog in a heavy truck.
