8.1L conversion

I think it was 280x. It was the biggest Comp listed. If you do a cam, you'll need springs too. The one I have now is Raylar's 106, it's much to big for stock pistons.

I had a 8.1L in my 67 short bed pickup for a while. It was a torque monster. My truck weighed in at 4100 lbs with the motor and me in it! 3.73:1, TH400 trans, and a posi.
After I put a GM ZZ502 camshaft in it ... it would start to break tires loose in drive just mashing on it at about 55 mph.
Yes, the ZZ502 cam changes the firing order, I did not use OE PCM, Megasquirt.
Piston blew up on me, that was end of the 8.1
