No, The heads will not interchange! Head bolt pattern and water passages are not the same. I've always question that article.

8.1l use a reluctor wheel like a LS1.

I research for the coolside II pick up since over a year.
They made very exact details about the engine and I planed to copy the engine of the Coolside Concept for my own application (1968 Impala con SS427 clone, should run a 4l80e and a 3,08:1 12 bolt posi is also bought already).

Of course the part with the alu heads is very interesting to me but did you only try to find this GMPP alu heads at the GMPP site.
I even pasted the part# they stated in the Coolside article in the parts# finder, but - nothing.

I would be very greatful if anybody did that swap already or know how it is to
realize.
Too many people in too many forums talk about that head swap is not possible but less people know what they are talking about.

Since I read that article I wonder what about the accel incuction?
Did they chance the plenum (if so I could find any matching part at the Accel site), or does the gen 5 and 6 heads have the same intake ports as the gen 7
heads?
Or is the difference that minimal that one can port it to match.

Greatful for any answer to this questions

Thanks Hannes
