They're $250 and NOT worth it when you can get some Thorley's for around $500. Calculate your $/HP. 5HP for $250 = $50/HP or 20HP for $500 = $25/HP. Even spending $750 for ASM's is $37.50/HP. Shorties <img border="0" alt="[barf]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_barf.gif" /> are a waste of money for the new ls1 based trucks.
Even at $200, it's still $40/HP.

That sucks you stripped a hole. I have had headers on all my hot rods in the past, but I am prolly will not put them on my truck even though I l know how much more they help. They are just a pain in the *** period. The bolts always loosen, no matter what anybody says, torque methods, etc. They always come loose. For my everyday driver I will not get them. I hate the idea of re-threading even a simple hole in my aluminum head. Did you use a heli-coil, or just use a bigger bolt?

Once they were re-cut, the tap just screwed right it. Did a test fit on the hole with the bolt and there wasn't any slop in it, snugged up good.
