Maybe I can help:
you've got 4 14 bolts to choose from

Current Rear Diff's, all 8 lug:

AAM 950 SF (found on 1500HD's and 2500's)
AAM 1050 FF (found on 2500HD's with the 6.0L engine)
AAM 1150 FF (found on 2500HD's with the 8.1L gas & Duramax & 3500's)

Current front Diff's 8 lug:

AAM925 - Used in all the above applications - if equipped with independent front suspension.

Additionally: The 14 bolt 6 lug (SF) you are looking for was used on the old 454SS.

hope that helps you some

Well, it helps but i was hoping the old 6 lug 14 bolt would be a little more available than a 454SS. No luck in finding one of those in a junkyard here. So my best bet is hoping that my buddy can get his contact to find me a 9.5" 8 lug and convert it using 6 lug axels. It appears the 10.5" is more abundant than the 9.5".

Is there anymore OBS trucks that used the 9.5" in a 8 lug configuration? I can find OBS trucks in junkyards here....but no NBS anywhere. Im pretty much trying to rule out converting to 8 lug, changing the front diff isn't an option because i would need a new cradle from Fabtech for the larger diff., and seeing how they dont just sell the cradle....i would need a whole new lift kit. Im not that worried about front diff strength because i hardly ever use 4wd and if i do im never at full throttle. Plus by the time the transfer case gets done robbing power from splitting it up....i dont think i would have to worry about breaking the front 8.25".

Lots of obs trucks came with 9.5 14 bolts, its hit or miss finding them in the junk yard and people always want way too much for them.

The fabtech spindles won't work for the 8 lug conversion but you can get a set of HD spindles from fabtech and they would work. The half ton hubs mount with 3 bolts in a triangular pattern and the 3/4 and 1 ton hubs mount with 4 bolts in a square pattern. So you will need everything from the hubs out off a HD to make it work. The half ton CV's will bolt in to the hd hubs you might need spacers( in addition to the ones you got with the kit) were they bolt to the front diff I'm not sure.

Well its a good concept and i appreciate the help. I'm sure its a strong unit, but for a 10.5" converted to a semi-floater....its a little pricey. For 3g's i could have a 9" ford made to handle up to 1200 hp and still be 50-75 lbs lighter and have more ground clearance than that thing. I guess im just going to tackle trying to find a 9.5" 14 bolt, im pretty sure superior's replacement 6 lug axels for the OBS 9.5" will fit the NBS if i have to go that route.

I'd imagine their specs are correct as they make all of our front and rear axles!

hope that helped
