806 LS1 ported heads for LQ9 or stock 317's??
I Need Help fast!!!!! A guy here local is selling me 806 LS1 heads for my 6.0(LQ9) for $450 should i buy the heads? I need to know if they will work fine for my LQ9. BTW the heads are ported they flow at 300 cfm and 240 at exhaust! Please someone tell if i should buy the ls1 heads or should i look for the stock 317's the 6.0 have??

With those kind of flow numbers it sounds like a Stage II port job so $450 is a VERY fair price, mileage on the heads isn't that big of an issue as long as the valve seats and seals are in good condition.
I'd buy 'em......especially since stock 317's with much lower flow numbers are going for that price

The valve cover bolt arrangement is different on the 806 LS1 heads! So are the coil pack mounts. I would't recommend doing this swap. Too much is different in the valve cover and coil mounts unless they include all the compatible hardware.
Good luck,

Richard is right about the valve covers and coil pack mounts.....the 806 heads/valve covers are perimeter-bolt and mount the coils individually as opposed to the later heads/valve covers that are center bolt and use a coil mounting bracket.
If all of the hardware is included it's still a great deal.....and will give your truck a somewhat distinctive look under the hood.
