depends if you want to put a superchager or turbo, cause its going to rise your compression. If not i would get them.

Im going to put cam, stall, LT headers, 390 gears + posi, all bolt ons, and maybe a 150 shot. So should the heads work fine?

Hell yes......they'll work great as long as you realize you'll be at around 10.8-11 CR, as long as your willing to tune for that and run premium gas ALL THE TIME they'll be fine

Is 450 a good price or is he asking to much? They have like about 45K miles on the heads.

With those kind of flow numbers it sounds like a Stage II port job so $450 is a VERY fair price, mileage on the heads isn't that big of an issue as long as the valve seats and seals are in good condition.

I'd buy 'em......especially since stock 317's with much lower flow numbers are going for that price

The valve cover bolt arrangement is different on the 806 LS1 heads! So are the coil pack mounts. I would't recommend doing this swap. Too much is different in the valve cover and coil mounts unless they include all the compatible hardware.

Good luck,

Richard

Richard is right about the valve covers and coil pack mounts.....the 806 heads/valve covers are perimeter-bolt and mount the coils individually as opposed to the later heads/valve covers that are center bolt and use a coil mounting bracket.

If all of the hardware is included it's still a great deal.....and will give your truck a somewhat distinctive look under the hood.
