Below 4k loss, as long as it's not a large number like 15% or more would be fine. The truck has plenty of gear to pull what I tow even if it haad a 5.3. If I leave in first gear I'm into 4k before I hit 15mph and If I shift above 6.2k It would never see below 4k again.

I'm running worked 243"s at 12psi on my 5.3 and its pushing 750 or more crank. Go with the 243's, the lost torqued down low is made up in boost and gears...

They DD really nicely and can turn upwards of 7k + rpm under boost.

for the same compression ratio & valve sizes, the 243s are only going to move your powerband further up in the RPMs due to the runner length.
either would be fine for your truck, but i'd personally keep your worked 862s on that fat pig & not chase a peak HP number.

on my car, i decided to work a set of 243s instead of my 852s (basically 241s) for the compression bump, and my 3300lb car don't miss the slight loss of low end in favor of top-end screaminess.

and i'm pushing about 13ish TVS lb of boost through my LS1 & giant (for a 5.7) cam to make just under 700whp on 93 pump.
did take a walbro 450 to feed my siemens 60s, though. a turbo would likely make those same numbers at a little higher rpm on less boost.
