Default 90mm tb question

I'm in the process of getting a 90mm tb for my truck. I've been dealing with blackbear for my tune. Is the standard set up for this the 90mm silver blade throttle body and x-link?
Also thinking of getting an Airaid air box if anyone thinks the standard air box will be a restriction. I would get just the box and plug the intake tube from my magnuson into that.

Heard most ppl have the best luck with the silverblade. For some reason im able to run a gold blade with my xlink. Had a 87 that went rep fairly often with the same xlink.

Okay.....That's what I thought. I was just wondering if anyone built a better mousetrap since the x-link... What about the air box idea? The Maggie came with a k&n filter for the stock air box. Do you think there will be any gains there? I did cut some holes in the front side and bottom to let more air in.

See the above post on the x-link. It is a wiring harness/adapter to fit the plug in on the truck and the plug in on the throttle body. One has 6 and one has 8. It also adjusts the voltage to give 100% throttle opening. I'm not sure if it applies to your truck or not. Maybe someone wiser than me well chime in.

The X-Link allows the newer throttle bodies (07-13 trucks LS2/LS3/7) to be used correctly in the older trucks (99-07)

Default 90mm TB

Jason. i have the same one forr my truck. just put it on. you will
need to reset the PCM for the bigger TB, in HPTuners there is a
TB size adjustment setting. this is what i was told.
>ETC area scalar for larger TB/ TB area calculation< try from .0158-.0190
