ABS and BRAKE light on after 4.56 gear install
#11
Im not saying anyone is wrong on this, it may be others' problems, but on my situation I didnt touch the abs sensors when i did the lift. All i did was pull the upper, lower and spindle off at the same time (unhooked the sensor plug) put on the drop brackets, and install the upper, lower, and spindle back on the truck and plugged the wires back in.
ABout the overall gear ratio calculation...In tuner cats, it does say overall gear ratio, which had me messed up for a few mins because i was wondering what the overall gear ratio was...probably not 4.56 since the tranny is an OD tranny BUT when i looked at the stock tune from the Avalanche that i had saved, it said 3.73 under the overall gear ratio, which is what the factory gears were.
2000 SIERRA...In your program with HP tuners, did you put in just a straight 38" tall Diameter Tire? Do your STS's have the metric measurement? If so, try that and see if it helps you at all. probably a 395 70 16, right?

Well, with the hp tuners, after I downloaded the stock tune, I just changed where it said 3.73 to 4.88 and the tire size 31 to 38, actually 37.5. When I did the lift, I didn't do anything at all to the abs sensors, I've actually had the lift and gears on for about 9000 miles, but I just got the tuner and now I'm getting the lights. I have the scanner with the HP, so if I could find the code I should be able to erase it right?
