Default ABS light and no speedo

I just put my tranny and transfer case back in last night and the damn thing wont shift out of first gear, no speedo and the abs light is on. OK the first thing you would think would be the that the vehicle speed sensor was either unplugged or broken in the process of putting it back in. Well I replaced that and it still does the same thing. The wierd thing is that when i put the scanner on it it said I was haveing random misfires in the engine but I had no arcing off the spark plugs and also that the computer wasnt recieving a signal from the vehicle speed sensor. I checked the abs fuses and they are all good because there isnt a vss fuse. Im going to run an ohm load test on the wire to see if there is a break in it but I was just wondering if ayone had had this same problem on their truck and what was the cause. And my truck is throwing an ses light either I dont know if this is due to Allen's tuning that is making this happen but as soon as the computer senses something is wrong with the ABS shouldnt it throw an ses light? As far as I know the only things he has touched are the rear O2 sensors are turned off. BTW if anyone gets a TCI 3000 stall you have to drill out one of the holes on the flywheel for it to work it really sucks having the transmission all bolted up and not being able to put the third bolt in.

Did your truck stay in first gear too and not want to shift out of it?

Hey guys, this just happened to me Monday. And it happened to a friend of mine a year ago. My very trusted dealer friend ran diagonstics and couldnt figure it out. We ended up unpluging the abs booster under the drivers side door and the computer picked up that it was a bad abs booster. The problem was that the booster cloged the computer from reading.

Might want to check and make sure you didn't break a ground wire somewhere...I had to have my front wiring harness replaced awhile back, and there was a broken ground that caused my turn signals to come on, abs to not work, and parking brake light to come on when I hit bumps or hit the brakes real hard.

Sounds like a possible blown fuse. look in the fuse panel inside the truck, its at the end of the dash drivers side.
