Default AC ????? Problem

Since the (cough cough) motor swap my ac has sucked. i realize there is more under hood heat and i thought that was the prob.
I added e-fans and that did not help. The problem is that when i am sitting the ac is hot like a sonna. but you move just a fiew feet it gets cooler then you go and it is fine. This is so anoying if any body has any idea of what to chewck or do let me know i would apreciate it very much.
Thanks Ryan

Sound like your not getting enough air through the condenser. About the only thing I can think of right now. Does it get COLD after your driving, or just cool off.

it gets cold after i start driving then i will stop at a light and it will slowly start to get hotter. I will be the first to tell you i dont know much about ac but if i can figure out what is wrong i can fix it. I am not going to pay some one to do it.
I will look into that.

Are your fans pushing or pulling?

you said you added the electric fans, it that in addition to the clutch fan, just asking,

the clutch fan does a damn good job at pulling air thru the two coolers, when you mounted your fans, did you make sure the fan shroud is sealed all around the radiator, if not, some of the air will be pulled between the rad. and shroud. if you can seal all this up, it may be enuff to cool everything down, plus, are you running your fans in two speeds, or just one at a time, maybe when the ac is on, you need to have both running full speed.

i'm assuming you're using the ls1 fans, if not, maybe the elec. fans you have aren't strong enuff, make sure all the air is pulled thru the front of the rad. not the sides,

good luck,

allen

Both fans running full speed and removed the clutch fan. the e-fans ate not 100% sealed yet but i had this problem with the stock setup. meaning diff motor and clutch fan it was doing this also. that is one reason i put e-fans because i thought it would fix the prob.
