Default Adding an OE trans cooler....

Thinking about adding a OE transcooler
mine came without one.
Reasons - cool the trans down and extend life
Thinking about doing the OEM step down method
in the rad first - out to the cooler and back to the
trans
Anyone added an OE cooler to a non cooler equiped truck?
Anyone had problems running the OE lines?
Detail your problems...
Thanks

The OE one isn't all that great. For half the cost you could get one 3x's better.

A little black spray paint, and it's not even noticeable with the grill on.

Easy as pie. Put a B&M supercooler on mine. Just tap into your tranny return line where it exits the radiator on upper pass side.
btw.. mine is looks just like Flyer's above.

i just added the o.e. cooler to mine. got it cheap, so i figured why not. it was a bitch to replace one of the lines, i had to remove the starter to get enough room. it seems to cool a little bit better than without it.

Here's a pic of the grill after I painted it ... it's taken at night so it's not the best quality.

Here is where the line goes to the cooler, you can see the return line in front of it if you look for it. It just goes to the other end of the line. I just cut out about 6-8 inches of the line to splice into it.

I had to get about aws much line that comes with the kit in addition so I could run them out of the way like I wanted to.

EDIT: Ooops ... had the same pic in there twice.

FLyer and BIG - Jeg's - Summit - and get the B&M Supercooler ?
are there different sizes ?
Thanks in advance.....
Flyer looks like you cut the OE trans line up top - right
and just returned out of the cooler back to the cut line to the trans...
Good thinking...
