it would be quieter and sound 100000000000000 times better. It would also be more efficient, less drone, the list goes on.

Well, it's a multi-chambered muffler, so by design it will flow less than a straight pipe, that's where the resonance comes from. Mufflers muffle, they don't make things louder. Aeros are known as one of the quietest aftermarket mufflers you can get, and they're great for what they do. A lot of people love to use them without cats because they sound basically stock with cats.

I really like how loud the 40 series flows are but I have been considering these hookers as well but if the hooker is quieter im not sure I want it.

i wouldn't necessarily say the aerochamber is one of the quietest aftermarket mufflers out there. with cats its not going to be very loud. with manifolds and no cats, you will definately hear it. go WOT and the neighborhood will hear it. headers actually made it quieter than with the manifolds and got rid of the rasp. my neighbor says not only can he hear my truck startup in the morning, but can also "feel" it.

I just really like the sound of my orginal 40 series. I have heard they will be making them in 3" again soon. You can get the delta and super 40's in 3" but not the orginal 40's. So if they come back with the 40 orginal in 3" I will go with that, if not I may consider the hookers.

There was a person recently who dynoed his car at 548rwhp with the areochambers and 549rwhp on cutouts so.....not bad in my opinion.

On another note, just bought 2-2.5" on ebay brand new for $30 a piece so...they are on there way so we will see what it sounds like.
