Aftermarket Throttlebody
I have heard a lot of the LS1 car guys raving about BBK throttle bodies, but I haven't heard many truck guys with too much good to say about them. Also, is there a larger throttlebody available? Does anyone have anything good or bad to say about aftermarket throttlebodies for the LS1 trucks?

i think it has more to do with us not being able to use that much air or something. Most people just say do a port and polish job and save the money for another mod.

on a related note I see that bbk now has a throttle body for us fly by wire guys...not that I'm going to rush out and buy one but something to keep in mind.
btw, I did notice a difference with the 80mm throttle body on my old vortec powered tahoe but I'm not sure if it's worth the $300 - $400 they charge for it.

I have one on my 5.3l. Not sure how much I picked up, but throttle response is firmer. I got a good deal for on on Ebay otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. The catch for us truck guys is that the intake is a choke point. 72mm (I believe) for the intake dimensions as opposed to the BBK's 80mm. A spacer necks the BBK down to the intake.
