So the p&p and milled down heads to match intake and custom grind cam to match heads and intake is not going to work? I understand bigger cubes make more power but this setup should produce a good amount of power. I read an article of Super Chevy did an article of a 5.3 called modern mouse I'm check in the morning for power output and what setup they used.

It will work great, a set of AI heads along with a properly matched camshaft and the FAST LSXRT will net you an engine that makes 450-475fwhp.

This is even with a cam that is fairly tame, 219/227 .607/.617 113. Below is a 5.3L with the same cam, same intake, but standard 243 heads. The AI heads should put down 20+hp on the OEMs.

Thats a relief. I have been looking for a 6.0 block to maybe swap in but if I could run what I have it will be great. Thats some pretty good numbers.

I did a 6.0L LQ4 with the same cam and CNC heads and it was over 500hp.

Thats why i put a version of this cam in my truck. Tuning is easy and it makes power to 6500RPM

Well I just got a deal on a 6.0 for $200. I was planning on making it a 427 stroker n/a. I will post up some questions as another topic. But still don't know if this is going into my truck or save it for the 67' Nova I'm planning on buying after I save some more money. But back to the 5.3, is the bottom end still stock or did you build it up? Also what push rods you used and the type of rockers if you changed them out when you used that cam?
