Default Air flow for procharger

I have been getting comments that i went too big on my exhaust piping and headers. I upgraded my piping from 2.5 inch to 3 inch, added 1 7/8 headers instead of the smaller 1 3/4 ones. Also added a 112 lsa 220/220 cam, my truck is a 4.8 2008 regular cab silverado. I did all of these mods with future goal of adding a procharger and having correct airflow through the engine, basically the one comment i hear too much is that i am loosing to much power as of right now. In my application, is this true or is it false?

I don't see it being a problem, it's still going to make gobs of power that street tires won't hold.

Let me put you at ease brother.

There is no such thing as too big of an exhaust system on anything with a supercharger. Anyone telling you otherwise doesn't fully understand.

Exhaust scavenging goes out the window with boost.

I'm curious as well but, the answers seem to be more for a boosted motor.

How long in n/a form will it be fine?

Would the same apply for a 5.3? I was looking at a 4" diesel exhaust, my factory is roughly 2-3/4". At least from the muffler back.

How would that cam be for a 07 Tahoe 2wd 5.3?
