Air raid MIT/K&N drop in
Did you guys tune your truck with the new intake set-up like mine? I know the MAF didn't move closer/away from original location, just I feel like its a big change since the tube is bigger and more direct and a better flowin filter, Thanks Crew

Check out this link, this CAI dyno testing and comparison was conducted by Justin from BBP. This testing was done on a 2008 Silverado 5.3L Flex Fuel truck with factory programming.

When you go to a larger intake tube you will change some of the dynamics of airflow the PCM is programmed to look at also if the air is colder because the filter/fresh air/shielding it will change the dynamics/density-in the case, of airflow. That is why it is better to reprogram (Tune) the PCM for optimal performance. Most often the Air intake system becomes louder and most will relate that to better performance. The real test is to hook up a scanner and make a test run and compare before/after results, often the untuned air intake system runs worse. You can do the same on a dyno and at the drag strip, by the scan log will give you more info to optimize real world driving.
