air temp. of supercharged applications?
I was wondering if anyone knew that the air temperature is after it passes through the supercharger.
I run a whipple and am complete with the air reroute for intercooler.

I have EFILive and have seen my IAT (post intercooler on my Radix) get up to 170 degrees when under boost after several quickly repeated 0-60 runs. This is kind of the worst case situation.

mine is usually a little above ambient temp untill the motor gets hot, then anywhere from 90-100 in warm weather. In cool weather, it is just a little above ambient temp. I have never seen it above 100 even when the outside temps were 85 degrees.

The radix IAT is after the blower...FWIW
Just to let you guys know the Radix is capable of making more boost than people thought. Myself included. I'd say it would make an easy 14 lbs on a 6.0 with room to spare.

i guess nobody knows... i will have to stop by a mechanic shop and use a laser thermometer and see how hot the aluminum is where the aux. injectors are. that aought to be pretty acurate right?

bigguy .. you can get your very own thermo like that from radio shack for about 50 bcks.
Your IAT sensor is located in the MAF. If you look on the inside of it, there is a little blck coated nipple looking thing that sticks out from the side. That is the thermistor. It looks like just a regular thermister. You can get a new thermistor and put it wherever you want it. I will check tomorrow the wires to cut on the MAF connector to move the thermo pickup.
I think it's brown and black .. but don't hold me to that yet.
BTW, that's about what MagnaCharger did by moving the IAT sensor.

there are no sensors ahead of the P1-SC. its reading is just prior to the t/b. the ATI superchargers use air to air intercoolers that are not subject to increased intake temperatures like your air to liquid intercooler. don't get me wrong, the Radix is an awesome piece and would like to have one myself, but, they are too hot.
