I heard a rumor about the new vette's that they are planning a limited edition vette called I think its called the blue terror which has somewhere along the lines of 650 HP and close to 700 torque. It is supposed to have F/I. Not sure about the rumor, but it has been buzzing around the chevy dealership here in jacksonville. Heard it from a head engine mechanic, who heard it from someone else, but i think its bullshit, but if they did come out with it, that thing would be nasty.

 

This rumor is alive and kicking on the Vette boards. It is called the "Blue Devil" and supposably a 7.0L turbo'd LSx motor. Maybe GM is actually ready to do something like this, but I caution anyone from getting too excited. It seems there has always been a "super Vette" rumor for the last 2 generations(C4 and C5) and now the C6 all ready has a rumor. It may happen, Lutz would definately be the man to do it, but I just don't see GM doing something if the next Z06 is supposed to be what the rumors say. It should have capabilities well beyond the current Z06.

I hope that they do make it! But hopes are never gonna get anything done especially with GM. I have been wishing GM would produce something better/faster than the coveted Z06. Maybe this time they will actually do it so one of their cars will be in a field of its own.
