Default All LS1 Truck Guys, what rpms are you shifting at?

Trying to get an idea how high these things will pull in our trucks. Please list what you are shifting at and if you have a cam, heads, etc.

Thanks.

Since I'll have some stage 2 5.3 heads, Futral Cam 224/224 - 112 LSA, & LS6 Intake, I should be making good power with the LS1 to about 6400-6500 rpms range. Right?

I'm shifting at 5900 right now with the 5.3. On the dyno my power peaks at ~5600-5700

I shift at like 5700rpm I think. Don't worry about reving these motors too high. I'd get worried for stock rod bolts around 6500-6700rpms. The rods are badass... powdered metal. They're not gonna break.

RPMs kill internals more than power does.

Yeah, 6400 sounds about for that cam profile. I'd dyno it to see the powerband per your application. It may pull higher as it's a 5.3 not a 5.7. So you may consider +4* on that cam to bring the powerband down a bit too.
