wow hell yeah, now that what im talkin about! keep me posted on that instal im lookin to do the same thing! i want to run a 6.0 with an sts eventually...

Serviced the trans and it is not slipping anymore. I love my turbo. I need a better fuel system and a little more tuning and it will have a little more.

I think this depends on how the actuator works. Might be able to pull it out, lock it into the "4wd" position, and re-install. My truck has a thermal actuator that I can probably just tack weld into place, but I'm not sure about the later model electric actuators.

anyways, I don't see any issue with locking it in. the only thing the actuator does is hold a shift fork into the locked position so the power is transmitted to the axles, its very basic.

I cant wait to see this work! haha. Best Idea ever. Many have thought about it but i know 006rcsb will actually follow through with it! I just wish i could do a 4wHI launch!!

I have done it but I have a vibration in the front end. I think it is from the driveshaft. It was difficult to get it back in with the awd transfer case. Shaft now seems to long. Any one got a measurement on a Silverado SS front shaft?

I'm very intrigued by the idea of doing this...maybe some day way down the line. Ha, by then, if it ever happens, you guys will have it all figured out for me

I doubt the front shaft is balanced on a 4wd from the factory.

I'm kind of curious if I can use an aluminum shaft in the front also. If so I have one from a longbed that I can have cut down for mine.
