Default Alternator amperage

I have a 2000 with a 5.3L, how many amps is my alternator?
My sisters truck was crashed and totaled, it is a 2003 4.8L and 4x4 would that alternator be more amps than mine??

Thank You.

it should be stamped on the case of the alt. you will have to look pretty hard. its like someone took a punch and tapped it into the case.
most light duty as yellowls1truck has stated already are 105A

Almost all stockers are the 105A max... about 45A idle. The factory 130A max is about 65A idle. You can get the factory 130A on ebay for about $95 shipped

Yes

Yes

No

You'll need a longer belt. I can check my truck later today if you need me too...it's raining now and I'm at work. It's the 6.0 w/ large alt belt that you need.
