Default Another cam Q!!!

In the process of rebuilding my 06 GMC Crew Cab VMAX with the 6.0L. Thinking about camming it while I have the whole truck apart.

Would the MTI Stealth cam be a good cam for all around performance and maintaining towing capabilities? I tow a 17 Ft bass boat and my 69 Firebird to the drag strip on occasion. I want something to maintain or improve low end, but pull harder on the top end.

The MTI stealth cam has specs as follows...

224/220 .581/.581 on 116

Do I upgrade to LS6 springs and aftermarket pushrods or can I use the stock stuff? What about converter?

Thanks!

to big for ls6 springs, will need hardened push rods as well...and IMO the cam is to big for a towing cam..

lil to big to tow with...
a 21*/21* 54*/55* is about as high as i would go if u still have to tow...
you'll need hardend pushrods and probably 918 springs...
also i think maybe at least a 2600 stall because your power is gonna be higher in the power band..

I was planning atleast a 2600 stall regardless of cam choice. Anyone know the specs of the original cam?

I think somewhere in the 212/218 range would be good for you, the low lift version from comp is a proven performer. may want to consider a custom grind though, somewhere in the 21x/21x range
