Good camshaft for your intended purpose. Run it and don't look back.

the tb stall would be great with that cam. i assume you want to stay with a small cam for towing and what not?

I'd venture to say it'll lose a little down low from 800-1200 and pick back up around 1300. From there it should pull strong all the way up to 6300-6400 but your peak will still be around 5500-5600 like all trucks.

That sounds dead on to me...I think that either the TB verter that the OP mentioned or a Yank TT2600 would compliment that cam nicely. I've read that the I6 TB verter stalls around 2500 behind a 5.3 (and it can be had for under $200 )

Picking a cam is alot more involved then just asking "will this cam be cool" and will it "have a lope"

Lots of variables... weight, power band, convertor size, cubic inch, compression, head flow numbers, rear gears, tire height, shift point, and many others..

One camshaft will NOT work in every 5.3 or 6.0.. every truck is different..

Understand how a camshaft works and you will have your answer.
