well anything bigger than 212/218 will require a bigger convertor man.. with a stock convertor your truck is going to feel very week at the lower rpm's until it hits about 3,000 rpm you'll feel it wake up nicely.

It is all in what you want to have. I would go with atleast a 3k for anyone of them. You could get away with a stock verter with the 224, I did for awhile with no tuning, so if it is tuned it def can be run. Like said it won't feel like much with a stocker till it hits the powerband..

I was just saying my personal pref was to go with atleast a 3k. I was very skeptical about putting a big stall in mine for DD. I am running a 224R. But when I was on the phone with yank, I said screw it and went 3200. Now I wish I would have went bigger, that is also with 410's out the back. It drives fine but you lose a tad of gas M in the city..

If your wanting to really keep a stock stall, I would go with a lower duration cam like the 218-220 range. That would be a nice increase, you could run the stock stall no prob.. The 224 is a mild cam for the 6.0, but takes advantage of the bigger stall. I would have went bigger on the cam too, never personally been in a truck with the setup I was wanting, but didn't know. Live and learn I guess..
