What are the specs on yours. haha I'm going to order Circle D's new 3200 278mm converter for the 4l80e.

Personally I dd'd a 4000 converter, granted that was in a z28, but I loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat... $ .02
Good advice right here.

Once I get my 02 back on the road we can take it for a spin and see if you want a setup kinda like it. Just hit me up when your in Denton or we can plan something.

I don't think it will be done this week. Should be getting the driveshaft this week then bringing the truck back to my trans builder to get the trans rebuilt/fixed. Hopefully I'll have it done next week. I'll let you know when it's all back together.

You do have the option of the TB converter too... I believe they're like a 2200 stall and extremely streetable and easy to come by. Jake is right, you probably do need to drive one with a stall, but like mentioned it bothers me to have to rev to 2300 to even accelerate and that kills city MPG.

212/218 .558 .563 -112 (high lift on a 112 vs 115)
Yank 3000 TT

again, no loss on the bottom end at all. you can use it with the stock converter with no issues.

The Yank 3000 TT drives just like the stock converter until you punch it. It "flashes" right at 2800-3000 depending on the cam and heads.

The Circle D 3200 is a little more loose for a daily driver vs the Yank TT

I've installed all kinds of cams in the 5.3. The Most "efficient" with stock heads is the 220.

I'm looking for cams for my '02 and have heard different opinions on cams with the stock 862 heads. I don't want to stall, but would a 220 or 212/218 cam be a better choice, just looking for all the advice I can get....
